Another wonderful essay Mardy, with insight and compassion into the reality of the rich and the poor. Your dream with Musk was a kick and joy to read, if only it turned out to be true. Something about wealth makes the wealthy blind to the less fortunate. Today I read a line from a poet that applies here. “What we pay attention to is all we really have.” The rich pay attention to their wealth and desire for more, and sadly, all they really wind up having is a bankrupt heart.

Dr Mardy,

Big pharma, huge insurance, hospital chains, big oil, multi-nationals munitions suppliers and the hedge fund guys, all with their hands around the neck of Congress and the White House, want us to blame the poor. The very rich loosened their grip when Patty Hearst was abducted, remember? When the poor finally realize who is stealing from them, heads will roll. Unfortunately, greed breeds ignorance especially of class warfare.

Best,

Jamie
