It reminds me of that poem by St. Jerome: “Good, better best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is your best” Thanks for the update on your progress last week. No pun intended, but I will keep an eye out for opening lines! All the best!
Thanks, Sharon. I haven't thought about that poem in many, many decades. I'm not sure Jerome actually wrote it, but it is a nice thought. Thanks also for your punny comment about the GOL search--and your offer to help. This year, I need all the eyes I can find to work on the project!
Like everyone I get a lot of emails every day, even with continuous culling and “unsubscribing”, but I always go immediately to your wonderful, thoughtful and educational emails. You clearly demonstrate weekly what your best can do. Thank you!
Thank you for using one of my favorite quotes (plumbers and philosophers). I have used this in many of my classes and continuing education courses over the years.
Always look forward to Sunday and your Pick-me-up, and, more than occasional, Hmmm-I-need-to-think-about-that...
I certainly strive for doing my best, altho it messes me up w/ my art endeavors, & I admire others' works. However, when my sons were young I always sent them off w/ the words "Do your best" until one son said "But then I'd never be able to stop"

Thanks, Ed. I've been using it for years as well. I loved it from the first time I read it, and still do. Thanks also for your heartwarming words.
