In the Teachings of Don Juan, fear is introduced as the first of four barriers to becoming a man of knowledge. It goes on to say that when you conquer fear, you obtain clarity of vision. Which becomes the second barrier....

"The Yearling" was one of the favorite books of my childhood.

About the Golden Rule: How about the movie "Alfie," in which one line of the title song is, "What would you lend on an old Golden Rule?"
